Just 1 mile from 2500 Outrigger, the San Leandro shoreline contains 315 acres of restored seasonal wetlands, home to more than 100 species of birds and other wildlife. Visitors can feel completely transported as they walk or bike along several miles of the Bay Trail that run through San Leandro along the waterfront. Those who have more time can follow the Trail up north to Bay Farm Island in Alameda, or down south to the Hayward Shoreline Marsh.
Nestled within the shoreline is Marina Park - 30 acres of grassy fields, sand volleyball courts, bbqs and picnic areas, and play areas for children. And across from the park lies the Monarch Bay Golf Club, where golfers can play 18 holes while enjoying stunning views of the peninsula and the SF skyline.
Last, but not least, there is the Marina itself, which has 2 yacht clubs, 3 restaurants and plenty of berths for sailboats and yachts.
